Sledmass is the Snowmobile Association of Massachusetts (SAM), dedicated to enhancing safe snowmobiling in the state. With a strong focus on developing and maintaining an interconnected snowmobile trail system, Sledmass allows snowmobile enthusiasts to travel from Worcester County to the Berkshires in a safe and efficient manner. The association boasts approximately 9,000 members, consisting of mature and responsible citizens, with 70% of them married and over the age of 36 years.

Snowmobiling in Massachusetts has a significant economic impact of $65 million per year, based on a study conducted by the University of Massachusetts. Sledmass operates through a network of 31 clubs, where delegates selected by each club serve as SAM Board of Directors. These directors attend monthly meetings to make all decisions regarding the association's policies, budget, bylaws, and strategic goals.
