Australasian Sleep Association

The Australasian Sleep Association (ASA) is a leading brand dedicated to promoting and advocating for sleep health. Recognizing that sleep is an essential pillar of good health, alongside a healthy diet and exercise, the ASA works tirelessly to raise awareness of the benefits of quality sleep and effective treatment for sleep disorders. Through robust data and research, the ASA highlights the magnitude of health issues related to poor sleep and sleep disorders, as well as the marked individual, economic, and social benefits associated with their treatment.

Their efforts have resulted in the establishment of a Parliamentary Inquiry into Sleep Health Awareness, which received over 130 submissions and held public hearings around the country. The ASA also collaborates with various stakeholders to address key national issues such as the development of comprehensive sleep health promotion campaigns, educational programs for schools and healthcare providers, and guidelines for improving safety and productivity in the workplace. They also advocate for targeted research in the field of sleep health.

In addition to their advocacy work, the ASA actively engages in ongoing projects and initiatives. For example, they have been awarded a three-year Commonwealth grant to enhance the clinical practice of primary healthcare practitioners in sleep health. They also contribute to important inquiries and submissions related to mental health, ADHD, and more.

Overall, the Australasian Sleep Association is committed to improving sleep health across all levels of society, and their work continues to make a significant impact in Australia and beyond
