Ridklubben Sleipner is an equestrian club founded in 1968 and based in Mariehamn, Åland. Set close to the island’s natural scenery and the sea, the club provides riding activities and supports equestrian sport for children, young people and adults. In 2012, the Finnish Equestrian Federation named Sleipner Equestrian Club of the Year.
The club’s riding school offers lessons from Monday through Saturday, with options for riders at different stages and ages. Activities include pony introductions for very young children, beginner and intermediate groups, specialist groups and short courses. Sleipner also organizes riding camps, and its facilities host courses and competitions; Sundays are generally reserved for rest, though these activities may take place then. Riders can find information about lesson schedules and prices, bookings, horses, competition calendars and results through the club.
Membership is open to people who want to support equestrian sport on Åland and the club’s work in riding and horse care as leisure activities.
