St Luke’s Hospital (SLH) is a community hospital in Bukit Batok, Singapore, and was the country’s first hospital dedicated to the elderly sick. It has since expanded its services to support people with a range of healthcare needs, with an emphasis on compassionate, coordinated care and quality of life.
Its care spans inpatient general wards and specialised services for dementia, palliative care, rehabilitation and wounds. Outpatient offerings include primary, preventive and restorative care through St Luke’s Community Clinic, the Day Rehabilitation Centre and St Luke’s Community Gym (Gym Up). For people who are home-bound, the hospital provides home medical, nursing and therapy services to support recovery and independence at home.
SLH also runs community programmes that promote active ageing, social engagement and independence, including a Community Intervention Team and an inclusive choir. Its wider work includes wound consultancy, nursing home support, education and research through St Luke’s Academy, and courses for healthcare professionals. Patients, caregivers and community members can access resources, make appointments, volunteer or support the hospital through giving.
