Toen zijn zoon Johan het bedrijf overnam begon de Kalanchoë teelt en in 2001 ook de Kalanchoë veredeling. Tegenwoordig neemt Stefan Slijkerman de leiding van de internationaal georiënteerde Kalanchoë organisatie.
