Ślimak Ortoptyczny is a visual-training game designed for children with convergence disorders. It may also be used to support exercises for children with divergent strabismus or amblyopia, following guidance from an eye-care specialist. The game challenges children to hit a mosquito appearing in the center of the target and collect points, while avoiding snails that subtract them.
For convergence practice, an adult holds the device at the child’s eye level and slowly moves it toward the nose while observing the child’s eye movements. For amblyopia exercises, the healthy eye is securely covered so the child plays using the weaker eye; an adult can move the device closer or farther away and ensure the child does not peek. The site provides instructions and important safety guidance, including exercising with an adult, stopping if one eye turns away, and limiting sessions to five minutes.
