The Slovak Skimo Association (SSA) is the national governing body for ski mountaineering in Slovakia. It supports the development of the sport, sets rules for Slovak ski mountaineering cups and championships, and organizes competition and representation activities. Its regulations draw on international standards while reflecting the needs of racing in Slovakia.

Ski mountaineering combines uphill travel on skis with downhill skiing, climbing techniques and mountain navigation. The SSA’s competition disciplines include individual, vertical and sprint races, as well as team events. The association publishes race calendars, results, selection criteria and news, and coordinates the Slovak national team’s participation in international events, including World Cup races and championships. Its updates also cover athlete training camps, youth opportunities and the sport’s Olympic presence.

Beyond competition, the SSA shares information about membership, anti-doping education and ways to support the organization. It also offers branded merchandise, including handmade ski-mountaineering headbands created in collaboration with the Slovak project Vlna pod Tatrami. Through these activities, the association connects athletes, organizers and enthusiasts across the country.
