Slow cosmétique

Slow Cosmétique was an association and label promoting a cleaner, more honest and more reasonable approach to beauty. Its guiding principles emphasized cosmetics that are both healthy and authentic, encouraging consumers to look critically at ingredients and choose products with greater care. The organization provided information on natural cosmetics, including guidance to understand INCI ingredient lists, recognize questionable ingredients and make cosmetics at home. It also featured books, news and advocacy activities, and offered resources for people interested in creating a natural cosmetics brand or practicing Slow Cosmétique in a beauty institute.

The Slow Cosmétique label assessed and recognized brands according to published criteria and a defined methodology. The website also presented officially labelled brands, participating shops and institutes, and ways to find or buy Slow Cosmétique products, including online. Workshops and training were among its educational offerings. The association stated that it was no longer active and would be officially dissolved on 16 December 2024; it also indicated that the label and association would cease to exist.
