About Smaakmakers Festival
Smaakmakers Festival is a music and food-truck festival held in De Wijk, Drenthe, at the scenic location of the Schoonvelde family on Commissieweg. Designed as a welcoming event for all ages, it brings people together through food, live music and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Visitors can explore a varied selection of food trucks and enjoy performances by regional music favorites alongside emerging talent.
The festival also features activities for children, making it an outing for families as well as music and food lovers. Its website provides programme details, practical visitor information, location and contact details, and answers to frequently asked questions. Food-truck operators can apply to participate during the stated registration period, while people interested in helping can find information about volunteering.
The festival also invites sponsorship and offers ways to support it as a friend. Smaakmakers Festival is scheduled for 12 and 13 September 2026, with music, food, children’s activities and opportunities for the local community to connect
