Smaht Scouting

Smaht Scouting is an independent hockey scouting publication focused on NHL draft prospects, with content created for teams, scouts, and fans. Its work centers on original evaluations rather than recycled rankings, drawing on a team of scouts who follow draft classes throughout the season. The site publishes annual and in-season rankings, including preliminary, midseason, and final lists, as well as individual prospect scouting reports.

Its 2026 NHL Draft Guide features original scouting from 11 scouts, with a report behind every ranking. Other offerings include draft analysis, interviews, roundtables, and a draft simulator, alongside articles exploring player development and the broader context behind performance statistics. Smaht Scouting also provides historical rankings for multiple NHL draft years, allowing readers to review its coverage across different classes.

Through its website and social media channels, the brand shares evaluations and commentary with hockey audiences. Readers can contact the publication by email, and the site includes information about its partners, alumni, and policies
