PolderPride Smal bloembollen BV

Smal Bloembollen BV is a family-run Dutch tulip business with three generations of expertise in flower bulb cultivation and tulip production. Since May 2024, the third generation has led the company, with the previous generation still involved to preserve its knowledge and experience. Smal supplies millions of tulip stems and bulbs each year to growers, exporters, florists and forcing businesses in the Netherlands and abroad.

The company manages much of the process itself, from growing bulbs on its own land to selecting, processing and delivering flowers and bulbs. Cultivation takes place in North Holland, Flevoland and Zeeland, while tulips are produced indoors using potting soil or flowing water. Careful planning and bulb storage allow flowers to be available from late December through May. Smal also handles much of its own transport and works with trusted long-term partners.

Its flowers are marketed under PolderPride, a collaboration of seven growers focused on quality and assortment.
