Small Talk Speech Services is a pediatric speech-language therapy practice serving children and families in Sterling, Virginia. Founded by Sara, a Virginia-licensed, board-certified speech-language pathologist with ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competence, the practice emphasizes individualized care and steady progress. Sara brings experience from private practice and school-based settings, and values collaboration with families and other professionals. She is fluent in English and Farsi.

Services include comprehensive speech and language evaluations, personalized therapy, and optional home visits. Assessments may address articulation, receptive and expressive language, stuttering, and other communication concerns, combining standardized tests with informal observation. Therapy is tailored to each child’s age and needs, using play-based and technology-enhanced materials. Sessions are available in 30- and 45-minute formats, with guidance and home-practice activities. Five-session bundles are also offered, and home visits may incur a travel fee.

Small Talk reviews evaluation results with parents and provides reports for an additional charge. The practice does not accept insurance, but can provide a superbill for clients seeking possible reimbursement.
