About SmartAquaponics
Smart Aquaponics is a brand that offers a range of tools and services to promote professional aquaponics. The brand provides online training, design assistance, and monitoring capabilities for aquaponic systems. Supported by Interreg FWVl and coordinated by the Urban Agriculture Research Center at ULiège, Smart Aquaponics aims to revolutionize aquaponics through digital innovation.
One of their key tools is SAM - the Smart Aquaponics Model, which helps design future aquaponic systems. Vigo Universal, a developer of interfaces, has also developed an application for remote system management. These tools allow users to monitor and control aquaponic systems from a distance, ensuring optimal performance.
The brand recently hosted a webinar in December 2020, attracting around sixty participants, primarily from Belgium and France, including aquaponics professionals. During the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the digital tools offered by Smart Aquaponics and engage in a question and answer session.
By combining aquaculture and hydroponics, aquaponics offers a sustainable agricultural solution that reduces water and synthetic fertilizer demands. Smart Aquaponics is dedicated to advancing the field and empowering professionals through their innovative tools and services.
