EPoSS, the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration, is an industry-driven policy initiative, defining R&D and innovation needs as well as policy requirements related to Smart Systems Integration and integrated Micro- and Nanosystems. EPoSS brings together European private and public stakeholders in order to create an enduring basis for structuring initiatives, for co-ordinating and bundling efforts, for setting up sustainable structures of a European Research Area on Smart Systems Integration. The initiative is of immediate importance in view of defining research and technology priorities for the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, for raising more critical mass as well as resources and for coordinating different initiatives (national, regional, EUREKA, European public funding and industry).

About EPoSS Association
EPoSS Association is the leading European organization dedicated to the development and integration of intelligent and green Smart Systems technologies and solutions for a sustainable society. As the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration, EPoSS works closely with major industrial companies and research organizations from over 20 European Member States to coordinate their activities in this field. A key objective of EPoSS is to develop a vision and establish a Strategic Research Agenda for Smart Systems Integration.
The association brings together both public and private stakeholders in the value chain to provide a common European approach to innovation, define research and innovation priorities, and formulate roadmaps for action. EPoSS also mobilizes human, infrastructural, and financial resources to support the implementation of these priorities. In collaboration with other ETPs, EPoSS generates valuable research papers and strategic agendas, which contribute to the creation of R&D funding programs
