The CCAP SMART Centre in Malawi is dedicated to providing solutions for safe water supply and sanitation in rural areas. Through the use of innovative and affordable technologies, we aim to address the pressing need for improved water sources and functional sanitation. Our core activities include training local entrepreneurs in the production and installation of our SMARTechs, which are Simple, Market-based, Affordable, Repairable Technologies. We also offer business skills training and provide guidance and management for projects.

Our range of SMARTechs includes manual well drilling, hand pumps, drip irrigation systems, rainwater harvesting, sanitation solutions, and household water treatment. At our fully equipped demonstration ground, located in Luwinga, Mzuzu, you can see these technologies in action. Additionally, we have a WASH Shop where you can purchase various items related to water and sanitation.

By encouraging self-supply and supporting local entrepreneurs, we are working towards creating a profit-based sustainability, ultimately contributing to improved water access and sanitation in rural Malawi.
