Smart Divorce Decisions

Smart Divorce Decisions, led by Kelley Hughes, is a financial guidance practice focused on helping women make informed choices before, during, and after divorce. Kelley is a financial advisor and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst who draws on personal experience of divorce to understand the decisions, pressures, and competing priorities clients may face. The practice helps clients assess their assets, income, cash flow, and financial options, with an emphasis on protecting their lifestyle and supporting long-term stability.

Services include pre-divorce financial organization and exit planning, document review and preparation of financial affidavits, marital standard-of-living analysis, income and asset tracing, and alternative asset distribution recommendations. During negotiations, Kelley explains the potential long-term effects of proposed settlements and can attend attorney meetings and mediations as a financial advocate. After divorce, clients can receive help creating savings strategies and financial plans aligned with their lifestyle needs and future goals. Smart Divorce Decisions also offers educational resources, including articles, videos, calculators, and information on taxes, retirement, insurance, and money management.
