Mathisen Equine Transport LLC is a veteran-owned and operated horse transportation business based in Spokane, Washington, serving the Western United States. Led by owner-operator Scott Mathisen, a combat veteran and horse owner, the company focuses on providing safe, reliable transport designed to make each journey comfortable and less stressful for horses. The business is licensed and insured and transports horses in clean loads.
Customers can request a quote and arrange transportation by providing pickup and drop-off locations, the number of horses, and each horse’s breed. Before travel, horses must have a current negative Coggins test and a health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian. Depending on the state of origin, a brand inspection may also be required. Mathisen Equine Transport advises customers to check applicable local and state requirements, including any needed immunizations or medications.
A 50 percent deposit is due once a booking is confirmed, with the balance payable at pickup. Cancellation and refund terms vary according to how close the cancellation is to the scheduled pickup date.
