Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma (SMBBIT) is a trauma and emergency care institution based in Karachi, Pakistan, serving patients across Sindh. The institute provides round-the-clock emergency response and comprehensive clinical care through specialized departments, modern facilities, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Its services include rapid assessment and stabilization, trauma surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, radiology and diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, vascular surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery.

SMBBIT also offers intensive care, rehabilitation, and online access to patient laboratory and radiology reports, alongside patient support resources such as records and feedback forms. As a Level I trauma facility, it maintains 24/7 readiness for urgent and complex cases and provides a trauma helpline for emergency assistance. The institute is developing a network of satellite centers to expand access to emergency and trauma services beyond Karachi, with an operational center in Larkana and a planned center in Sukkur.
