About SMC
Scalabrini Migration Center (SMC) is dedicated to promoting the dignity of migrants and fostering evidence-based understanding of migration. With a focus on the Asia-Pacific region, SMC conducts extensive research and publishes publications that contribute to the interdisciplinary study of international migration. Their ongoing and completed research covers a wide range of topics, including migrant fishermen on Taiwanese fishing vessels, the potential of agriculture as an alternative to migration for young Filipinos, and more.
