Ronny and Vanja Olofsson run a Standardbred trotting-horse breeding operation at Smissarve Farm in southeastern Gotland, Sweden. With 35 years of experience, they combine a long-standing commitment to breeding with a personal involvement in the sport and its community. Their horses have competed in major events in Sweden and France, including the Prix d’Amérique, Elitloppet, Oslo Grand Prix, the Swedish Trotting Derby, the European Derby, the Kriterium and the Stochampionat.
Over the years, their breeding program has produced 11 millionaire horses. Among its leading performers are Power, with earnings of 12 million, and Super Light, with 11. 5 million.
The farm offers its yearlings for sale, usually through one of the auctions held during the year, and shares information about its foals, broodmares, breeding stock, winners and past generations. The 2025 yearling crop has been sold; the farm congratulates the new owners and trainers of Hero, Ironman and Diva. Visitors can also explore news, photographs and details about the farm’s horses and breeding history
