About Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture
Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG) is a forward-thinking architecture firm specializing in high-performance, energy-efficient, and sustainable design on a global scale. Founded in 2006 and with offices in Chicago and Beijing, the firm prioritizes the notion that architecture can significantly enhance civic life and societal well-being. AS+GG adopts a holistic design philosophy known as "global environmental contextualism," which emphasizes the interconnectedness of built and natural environments.
The firm's expertise spans various building types, including supertall towers, mixed-use complexes, corporate offices, cultural facilities, and residential projects. With a team skilled in technical architecture, interior design, urban planning, and sustainable practices, AS+GG creates innovative designs that not only reduce environmental impact but aim to eliminate it entirely. They focus on integrating factors like daylighting, wind power generation, and geothermal properties into their projects, resulting in architectural works that inspire and drive the advancement of modern sustainable technology while improving the world around us.
