SMK Uppsala

SMK Uppsala is a motorsports club based in Uppsala, Sweden, with activities spanning car sport, motorcycle sport, off-road driving and radio-controlled car racing. The club offers training, competitions and social activities for people of different ages and ability levels, and welcomes membership applications through its website.

Founded more than a century ago, SMK Uppsala held a velocipede motor race in September 1913 and celebrated its centenary in 2014. It has a longstanding connection with Novemberkåsan, Sweden’s historic motorcycle competition, which it has organized every ten years since 1924. The club is part of Uppsala Motorsportunion, established in 1976.

Its event programme includes off-road meetups and competitions at Rörken Motorstadion, including rounds of the Swedish Offroad Cup. SMK Uppsala is also scheduled to organize the 100th Novemberkåsan in the forests around Knivsta in 2026. Through its sporting sections and community activities, the club aims to foster an inclusive environment and promote health, wellbeing and fellowship through motorsport.
