• SmokEy Lights

SmokEy Lights creates boldly reimagined light fixtures for artful homes, transforming vintage and obsolete objects into functional pieces with renewed purpose. Founded in 2016 by artist and maker Eric, the brand grew from a desire to build small-scale installation art that people can enjoy in their homes. Its work draws on the style, shape, finish, and craftsmanship of found items, incorporating their original character into new designs.

The collection includes cigar box lamps, retro rewind lamps, steampunk lighting, vinyl record lamps, and DIY cigar box lamp kits. SmokEy Lights also presents individual creations, such as the Holiday Flash lamp and the Record Tower: I’m So Excited. Depending on the object and its intended use, a lamp can be designed for a tabletop or desk, or made with LED backlighting for wall display. The maker prioritizes simple, reliable, and safe electrical approaches. SmokEy Lights offers engaging maker classes, with classes scheduled to resume in spring, and shares new creations through its website and social media.
