Smooth Transitions provides personalized postpartum doula and newborn support for families across Manhattan, helping parents navigate the transition home with greater confidence and calm. Founded by Yvonne Hancock, a certified postpartum doula, child development specialist, and certified lactation counselor, the service offers tailored, in-home concierge care for modern city families.

Support can include practical newborn care, maternal rest and recovery, emotional processing of the birth experience, and nonjudgmental feeding guidance for breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or combination feeding. Smooth Transitions also offers gentle newborn sleep shaping designed around each baby’s temperament and family’s parenting style. Traditional Bengkung belly binding sessions include a custom wrap and guidance on self-care, with the practice intended to support abdominal recovery and posture.

Services are available in neighborhoods throughout Manhattan, including Tribeca, SoHo, Chelsea, the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, Midtown, Gramercy Park, and Battery Park City. Through postpartum and sleep consulting packages, virtual support, and educational resources, Smooth Transitions aims to provide families with individualized care during the fourth trimester.
