Eurion Smržovka is a long-running, volunteer-supported music festival in Smržovka, in the Jizera Mountains of the Liberec Region, Czech Republic. Founded in 1993, it takes place outdoors by Parkhotel Smržovka on the Friday before the town’s third August Saturday celebrations. The 2027 edition is scheduled for 20 August from 6 p.m.; entry is free, with an expected voluntary contribution of about 500 Czech crowns.
The festival’s defining aim is to introduce audiences to original and less familiar music, generally avoiding repeat bookings while making occasional exceptions for much-loved local acts. Its eclectic program moves between alternative music, folk, jazz, world music and energetic guitar rock. Past performers have included artists and groups such as Ventolin, Midi Lidi, Už jsme doma, Vltava and Vypsaná fiXa, alongside many emerging and international acts. Eurion is organized by the Dobramus association and forms part of Smržovka’s wider town festivities. Musicians interested in performing can apply through the festival’s open-mic opportunity.
