SMU Smart City Society is a student club under the Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, dedicated to exploring and advancing the concept of smart cities and its associated technologies. As a platform for students interested in this field, our mission is to make a positive impact on urban living through sustainable solutions and strong industry-academia collaboration.

Through workshops, discussions, and hackathons, we provide valuable opportunities for our members to expand their knowledge and skills in smart city management and technology. By applying cutting-edge technologies such as analytics and IoT, we aim to tackle urbanization challenges and improve the quality of life in cities.

Originally known as SMU Anthill Society, we have evolved and grown since our establishment in 2019. Our flagship events include the Antbytes hackathon, Code for Cities hackathon, and the SCULPT program. In 2021, we joined the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and rebranded as SMU Smart City Society to reflect our focus on smart cities.
