SMZ Education is a non-profit initiative that helps schools access digital tools and build an online presence, regardless of their location or resources. Registered as a non-profit with the German government, it works to bridge the digital divide, with a focus on communities in Ghana, Senegal, and The Gambia. The organization reports supporting 39 schools and empowering more than 34,000 students across three countries.

Its core services are free for eligible educational institutions. SMZ Education creates, hosts, maintains, and updates professional school websites, provides school email accounts, and helps schools establish or update their Google Maps information. It also offers cloud services and support for website changes, giving schools practical ways to communicate with families, present their work, and manage their digital presence. Schools can request multiple email accounts for staff, while SMZ Education handles website hosting.

The initiative is funded primarily through donations and supported by volunteers. Custom development, premium integrations, or support beyond the standard offering may involve paid options.
