Snailmail2Jail

Snailmail2jail is a pen-pal directory intended to help incarcerated people connect with family, friends, and members of the public. The site explains that maintaining communication during a prison term may support stronger relationships and reduce the likelihood of reoffending after release. Its central service is a searchable, state-organized collection of profiles and contact information for people in correctional facilities across the United States.

Listings may include a person’s name, identification number, facility, mailing address, and ways to connect through services such as JPay, Corrlinks, GTL, or ConnectNetwork. Some profiles also share brief personal details or preferences about the kinds of correspondents they seek. Visitors can browse the directory and choose to make contact by postal mail or through the listed digital communication platforms. The website invites people to explore its pages and offers a practical starting point for those seeking to build supportive connections with someone who is incarcerated. Snailmail2jail focuses on facilitating correspondence rather than providing correctional, legal, or counseling services.
