SnapHire is an iPhone app that connects clients with professional photographers across Long Island and New York City. Users can browse real portfolios, check availability and see photographers’ rates and packages before booking. The app supports bookings for weddings, portraits, family sessions, headshots, events, real estate, sports, food, cars, products and video. Clients choose a date, time and duration, then book and pay by card in the app, with messaging available to coordinate details.

SnapHire is free to download and search. Clients pay a 5% service fee, displayed before checkout; bookings are processed through Stripe. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a session qualify for a full refund, and clients receive a full refund if their photographer cancels. Photographers can create profiles, set rates and packages, manage availability and approve requests. There is no listing or subscription fee: photographers pay an 8% commission when paid, reduced to 5% on amounts above the first $2,000 of larger jobs. Photographers retain copyright, while clients receive a licence to use their images.
