Snap Hold & Kick (SHK) is a nonprofit organization based in California’s Inland Empire that has developed young athletes through athletics and education since 2001. It serves junior high, high school, and college football specialists, focusing on kickers, punters, holders, and long snappers. SHK’s purpose is to strengthen position-specific skills while supporting personal growth in a relaxed, structured learning environment.
The organization runs a camp season featuring five training sessions and a Southern California competition. Participants receive individual and group coaching, skills evaluations and feedback, and opportunities to compete in “last man standing” challenges. Camp programming also includes recruitment discussions and advice, mentors, and speakers on developmental life choices. Membership includes camp sessions, competition entry, and an SHK dry-fit shirt; single-day participation is also available. SHK aims to keep its programs accessible, particularly for at-risk youth, and directs fees toward program costs such as fields and equipment. It also welcomes donations to support operations and youth services.
