Snåsa Historielag is a local history association serving Snåsa municipality in Norway. The organisation works to share information about local history and its activities through its website and social media, and welcomes people interested in the area’s heritage. Visitors can drop in at the association’s premises in Vinje on the first Wednesday of each month, except July and August, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., for a chat and coffee. The premises also display books and objects found at Vinje or donated to the association, including photographs and books.
The association offers a selection of books for sale, which can be ordered directly from the group; some of its key and most recent titles are also available at Snåsa Library. Its website provides information about membership, events, a photo gallery and Kumur, as well as details about the association’s board and annual meeting. Snåsa Historielag also hosts photo evenings and is working toward making its collection of images accessible through an online photo database.
