Startschip KWS Sneek is a renowned brand that organizes the Sneekweek, a special event that has been taking place since 1934. Held in Sneek, a picturesque city in the north of the Netherlands, in the province of Friesland, the Sneekweek is Europe's largest inshore sailing regatta. With participation from 30 different classes, including Optimist, Solo, Laser, Vaurien, Yngling, Finn, 2. 4mR, J22, and Splash, the Sneekweek offers a diverse range of competitions that keep loyal fleets coming back for more. The event kicks off with the opening ceremony in the city center of Sneek, featuring a traditional vlootschouw where each class is represented by a boat. Throughout the week, races take place on courses marked with 24 buoys across different connecting lakes.
