Sn Hanaro

Hanaro Welfare Association is a nonprofit organization under South Korea’s Ministry of Unification, dedicated to supporting North Korean defectors, particularly young people and teenagers. Guided by a commitment to encourage and assist defectors in their lives and faith, the association works to help young people settle into South Korean society and prepare for a future of peaceful reunification.

Its programs combine education, scholarships, mentoring, medical support and relief services. Offerings include the Hanaro Scholarship and mentoring program, English classes, and employment and entrepreneurship classes. Through these initiatives, the association aims to help young people build skills, pursue their goals and access practical support.
