of Snookdude Charters

Snookdude Charters is a fishing and hunting guide service based in Port Mansfield, Texas, led by Captain Ruben Garza, Jr., a Rio Grande Valley native with more than 25 years of experience along the Texas Gulf Coast. The company offers fishing charters on the Lower Laguna Madre, with trips tailored to children, novice anglers, and experienced fishermen. Captain Ruben specializes in wade fishing and drift fishing with artificial lures, helping guests pursue fish in the local waters.

Snookdude Charters also organizes duck hunts in the Lower Laguna Madre area and dove hunts in nearby South Texas fields. Duck hunts may target redheads, mottled ducks, pintails, and other varieties; dove hunts include mourning dove and white-winged dove. For guests seeking both activities, the company offers Cast & Blast trips that combine wade fishing and duck hunting in one day. Its stated focus is to provide an enjoyable, memorable outing, even when fishing or hunting conditions are challenging. Trips can be booked by phone or through the company’s website.
