Snowboard Selector

Snowboard Selector is an advice and education website helping beginner and intermediate snowboarders make confident decisions about equipment and riding. Its guidance is shaped by experienced instructors, including founder Graeme Gibson, a BASI Level 4 instructor, and Graham Sinclair, a CASI Level 3 instructor with more than 30 years of riding experience. The site offers practical explanations designed to make snowboard choices clearer, without unnecessary jargon or reliance on popularity alone.

Visitors can use the Snowboard Size Calculator, which considers height, weight, ability and riding style to suggest a suitable board size range. Guides cover choosing snowboards, including size, shape, flex and profile, as well as recommendations for all-mountain, freestyle, powder, carving and beginner boards. Snowboard gear resources address boots, bindings, outerwear, protection and splitboards, with advice on fit and setup. Instructional content supports progression from first turns to more challenging terrain, with topics such as riding styles, powder and lessons. Snowboard Selector aims to help riders understand why equipment matters and find options suited to their goals.
