Snow Goose Global Thanksgiving is a community event initiative created by author and speaker Victor Villaseñor, inspired by a vision he experienced in 1992. It invites people to celebrate and practice world harmony and peace by bringing communities together across cultural differences, drawing on Thanksgiving as a symbol of Native American and European peoples sharing in harmony. The gathering is presented as a spiritual, family, community, and school event, and is free and alcohol- and drug-free.
The annual celebration features music and a shared meal, with attendees welcome to bring a picnic or contribute to a potluck, along with their own chairs and blankets. Its 34th anniversary event is scheduled for November 22, 2026, the Sunday before Thanksgiving, from 1 p.m. until sunset. The organizers invite volunteers and offer opportunities to book Victor Villaseñor for speaking engagements. The site also promotes his Snow Goose Global Thanksgiving book and his newer title, Gathering StarDust. Because capacity is limited, pets are not permitted at the event.
