Snowlessroads is a brand that specializes in autonomous deicing and snow-melting solutions embedded beneath road pavements. Their innovative technology, known as SNOWLESS, offers a range of benefits for climate-resilient infrastructure. With real-time reactive and autonomous temperature control, SNOWLESS provides disruptive snow-melting and deicing capabilities, as well as low temperature cracking prevention and frost protection.

This cutting-edge system is controlled by climate analysis algorithms, ensuring superior energy efficiency. SNOWLESS has made a significant impact in the industry and has been recognized as a winner of the EU's 'Horizon 2020' research and innovation program. The brand's solutions bring numerous advantages, including low maintenance requirements, positive environmental impact with reduced emissions and no salt or chemicals used, and safety enhancement by mitigating icy conditions and infrastructure deterioration.

The SNOWLESS system utilizes a combination of patented hardware and software. This includes ultra robust amorphous alloy heating ribbons embedded in the top layer of the infrastructure, as well as a software system controlled by real-time weather data for autonomous operation. These heating ribbons are designed for high performance and can withstand temperatures up to 200°C during pavement construction operations.

Installing the SNOWLESS system involves a four-step process, starting with engineering and planning, followed by grooving the asphalt slits for placement of heating elements, deployment of the heating ribbons using special bitumen for protection, and finally paving the top layer directly on the heating ribbons. Snowlessroads has successfully completed various projects worldwide, including installations in different countries and applications. These projects include a test section in Germany with multiple heating zones, a hospital in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and a truck loading dock also in Eindhoven.

Snowlessroads is revolutionizing the way we deal with snow and ice on roads, providing a seamless integration into the construction process while delivering energy-saving and environmentally friendly solutions
