Snupi Onlus

SNUPI ODV, short for Sostegno Nuove Patologie Intestinali, is a volunteer association based in Parma, Italy. Established in 2001 at the initiative of families of children and young people with chronic intestinal conditions, it supports people affected by digestive illnesses and their families, including children, young adults, and adults. The association works in connection with the Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy unit at Parma University Hospital, which cares for patients with diseases of the digestive system.

SNUPI focuses its efforts on practical and personal support. It helps fund modern medical equipment for the hospital unit, offers scholarships to young doctors pursuing gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy, and contributes to medical training and professional development, including at institutions abroad. It also provides moral and material support to patients and families. The association raises funds through donations, membership, Italy’s five-per-thousand tax designation, and solidarity events. Its website shares news, events, information about membership and giving, and practical guidance on topics such as ticket exemptions and employment regulations.
