About SoberStock
Soberstock is a not-for-profit Alcoholics Anonymous group and the organizer of a three-day annual recovery festival in Florida. Held at a campground just northwest of Tampa, the event combines camping, live music, AA speakers, open meetings, food, fellowship, and recreation. Its welcoming atmosphere is designed to help newcomers and other attendees discover that having fun can be part of sobriety. The campground can comfortably accommodate about 2,000 people.
Soberstock offers festival tickets and branded merchandise, along with a Saturday morning motorcycle run that is free for festival ticket holders or available to non-attendees for a fee. Musicians and bands can submit applications to perform, and attendees can sign up to volunteer. The organization also shares event schedules, information, FAQs, flyers, and updates to help visitors plan and spread the word.
As a registered AA group with General Service Office, Soberstock passes a basket at committee meetings and makes annual contributions to its local Intergroup Office and the AA “Pie Chart.” A portion of its funds supports AA literature for jails and institutions in Hillsborough County.
