SoCaliReefs is an online community for saltwater aquarium and reef-keeping enthusiasts, with a focus on connecting hobbyists, sharing practical knowledge, and celebrating reef tanks. Members can join discussions ranging from beginner questions and general reef care to coral species, saltwater fish, marine life, water chemistry, lighting, equipment, and aquarium controllers. Dedicated areas cover do-it-yourself projects, product reviews, and members’ reef tank builds, while featured reef showcases and photo contests highlight community creativity.

The site also supports local connections through meetup and event discussions, announcements, giveaways, contests, and group buys. Its marketplace forums let members buy, sell, or seek reef-related livestock and dry goods, alongside a separate area for non-reef items. Newcomers can introduce themselves and ask questions in the beginner forum, while experienced aquarists can exchange advice and follow specialist topics. SoCaliReefs is therefore both a discussion resource and a member-driven hub for reefing information, community activities, and peer-to-peer listings; the content shown does not indicate a conventional retail store or professional aquarium service.
