Special Olympics Chicago, in partnership with Special Children's Charities, is dedicated to providing year-round sports training, recreational activities, and social programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Chicago. We strive to promote physical and mental health improvement for children and adults with these disabilities, as well as closely related developmental disabilities. Special Children's Charities funds various programs administered by the Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Schools, and other agencies throughout the city.
Our initiatives include the Creative Arts Therapy Program, the After 22 Project, athlete-produced cable access TV shows, and engaging online events like cooking and art classes. By embracing inclusion and celebrating the unique gifts and talents of individuals with intellectual disabilities, we create a community that values and accepts everyone. Join us in making a positive impact.
