SCC Exists to empower young people to take action on the most pressing social and environmental challenges of our time. We do that with a unique approach - running events designed to educate people on these challenges, and connecting them with tangible next steps to create change in those areas. We focus on personal, inter-personal, and systemic opportunities for change. Our amazing team of Event Managers in Te Whanganui-a-tara and Tamaki Makaurau act as the catalysts for these events; identifying the challenges they're keen to learn more about or see progress in. The collective supports them with the tools and resources they need to inspire a community of changemakers into action.

About Social Change Collective
Social Change Collective is a dynamic platform connecting young people to take action on social and environmental issues. Established in 2017 by a group of driven Wellingtonians, the organization aims to empower and inform the youth about current societal challenges, inspiring collaborative, actionable approaches. Social Change Collective facilitates bi-monthly events addressing a broad spectrum of social and environmental concerns, fostering engagement, comprehension, and tangible action steps for all attendees.
Additionally, the organization supports young individuals in contributing to governance across Aotearoa. The platform boasts a dedicated team, drawing on a diverse set of skills and experience, including individuals like Pat Shepherd, founder and Chief Doer of Things at One Percent Collective, and Teri O'Neill, Councillor at Te Motukairangi Eastern Ward – Wellington City Council.
