Socius, Psychosocial Counseling and Support, provides personal assistance outside special residential settings and legal guardianship for adults. Its personal assistance services are offered within Germany’s Eingliederungshilfe framework under Section 131 of SGB IX, commonly associated with outpatient supported living. Socius also provides legal guardianship as a separate service. The organization has 14 years of experience as a provider within Eingliederungshilfe and, since December 2024, has operated as an independent provider serving Neuwied, Altenkirchen, Westerwaldkreis, and Rhein-Sieg-Kreis.

Socius aims to support people in maintaining and developing an individual, self-determined way of life. Its approach is informed by professional psychosocial and educational principles, including empowerment, strengths-based resource work, and resilience. These principles guide its work toward inclusion, integration, and respectful, supportive relationships. The organization’s website offers further information about its services, possible goals and interventions, eligibility, and funding, as well as its history and professional standards. People can contact Socius through its online form or WhatsApp.
