SOCOLPSI, the Colombian Psychoanalytic Society, was established in 1956 and is recognized as the pioneering institution for psychoanalysis in Colombia. With a membership of 77, including 48 full members and 29 associates, SOCOLPSI is accredited by the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA). The society offers an array of specialized services aimed at promoting mental health through its Psychosocial Guidance Program (POP), which includes individual, couple, and family therapy sessions.

In addition to psychological services, SOCOLPSI provides training through its exclusive specialization programs in child and adolescent psychoanalysis—the only one of its kind in Colombia. The society also publishes the "Revista Colombiana de Psicoanálisis," contributing to scientific discourse within the field.

Furthermore, SOCOLPSI maintains the largest psychoanalytic library in the country, housing over 3,300 books and various international journals. Through its various activities, training courses, and annual events, SOCOLPSI plays a vital role in the advancement and dissemination of psychoanalytic knowledge in Colombia.
