Socorro Animal Sanctuary

Socorro Animal Sanctuary is a family-run farm animal sanctuary in northwest Tucson, Arizona. Its mission is to provide animals with a safe place while educating people to respect and cherish them. The sanctuary shares stories of rescued residents, including Isis, rescued from a feedlot; Ruby, rescued off the range; and Bill and his sister, who arrived after their family moved and could no longer care for them.

Socorro Animal Sanctuary believes animals have voices that people can learn to hear by taking time to listen. To advance its educational mission, the sanctuary offers classes, clinics, and farm tours, giving visitors opportunities to learn about animals and connect with its work. People can support the sanctuary by volunteering, attending a class, or making a donation.

The organization welcomes community members to join its cause and help foster greater understanding and kindness toward animals. Through animal care and education, Socorro Animal Sanctuary aims to make respect for animals part of everyday life
