Sogelaga i Vanylven

Sogelaga i Vanylven is a network of local history associations serving communities in Vanylven, Norway. Its purpose is to encourage interest in family history, local history, folk memories, legends and traditional knowledge, and to preserve this heritage by documenting it for future generations. The network brings together information about Vanylven, Syvde and Åram, while also providing space for memories and traditions from Rovde, where no separate local history association has been established.

The associations share historical information and support local heritage activities. Åram Sogelag maintains a local heritage collection at Husmortun on Hakallestranda and a model boat collection at Åram School. The site also provides details about the associations and their contacts, helping residents and people with local connections get involved or learn more. Through these efforts, Sogelaga i Vanylven contributes to preserving the stories, customs and community history of the area. Its work focuses on gathering and safeguarding local knowledge, connecting people with their heritage, and making historical material more accessible to the next generation.
