Sogit Settimo

S.O.G.IT. – Settimo Torinese is a local section of the Italian organization identified on its website as the Croce di San Giovanni. Based in Settimo Torinese, it supports the community through volunteer-led healthcare assistance, public education and opportunities to participate in local service. The association provides medical assistance at concerts, festivals, sporting events and public celebrations across the Turin area, working with other SOGIT sections and organizations when needed. Its event coverage has included major music and entertainment gatherings, as well as municipal New Year celebrations.

S.O.G.IT. also offers training for the public and aspiring rescuers. Its courses include pediatric choking-response and resuscitation techniques, delivered through interactive lessons, and training for 118 emergency responders in accordance with regional requirements. The section’s training centre has received accreditation from the National Rescue Council. Volunteer and civil-service programs provide ways for young adults to contribute to community care, including projects focused on territorial emergency response and personal assistance. Through these activities, S.O.G.IT. combines practical event support with skills education and local volunteering.
