About Soil Heroes Foundation
Soil Heroes, founded in 2019 by farmers Jeroen and Mellany Klompe, is a brand that aims to empower farmers in the face of numerous crises. Based in the Hoeksche Waard region near Rotterdam, Netherlands, our spiritual home is The Klompe Farm, an arable farm where it all began. Today, we have an exceptional team of Soil Heroes working across Europe to make a difference.
Our team includes Jeroen and Mellany Klompe, our passionate founders, as well as Marij-Ellen Smits, our CEO, and Jens Van Der Veer, our COO. With Bodrik Bakker as our Account Manager, Axel Rungweber as our Business Development expert, and Leandro Barbieri as our Chief Soil Scientist, we have the knowledge and experience to drive real change in the agricultural industry. We are also supported by Koen Van Seijen, our advisor, and Tweede Golf, our tech partners.
