Sojourners with Healing Hearts

Sojourners with Healing Hearts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in West Palm Beach, Florida, supporting women and families affected by breast cancer, with a focus on African American communities in Palm Beach County. Its mission is to foster physical, mental, and spiritual healing through compassionate support, education, and encouragement. The organization aims to help women access care with dignity and to support families throughout the breast cancer journey.

Its services span prevention, early detection, recovery, and practical assistance. The Early & Empowered Education Series offers workshops, webinars, instructional videos, and school programs for teens, sharing information about prevention, wellness, and early detection. In partnership with Boca Raton Regional Hospital and the Pressel Mammovan, Sojourners brings free mammogram screenings into the community each month. The #SOJOSquad support group provides a welcoming space for survivors, guided by nurse practitioners and mental health therapists. Eligible women may also apply for financial assistance with mammograms, medical bills and co-payments, and transportation to medical appointments.
