About Solar Fortún
Vinícola Solar Fortún is a Mexican family winery located in Francisco Zarco, Valle de Guadalupe. Established in 2007, the vineyard began distribution of its wines in 2012. The founder, Dr.
José Alberto López, a physicist and astronomer, embarked on this project by planting his first vines in the Guadalupe valley, in Francisco Zarco. Enologist Ing. Santiago López Viana, a former high-performance athlete, studied engineering at Penn State University and pursued winemaking through a diploma from the University of California-Davis.
Solar Fortún offers a range of exceptional wines, including the highly anticipated Elixir Cordis 2020 and award-winning selections like O Positivo 2020 and Noble Cru 2015. Visitors can savor these wines at the on-site restaurant, exploring exquisite pairings under the shade of ancient oak trees. Look out for the upcoming Wine Bar by the sea at the Sauzal production site in Ensenada starting spring 2023.
